This Privacy Policy explains how Home Trades Online LLC collects, uses, and protects information about visitors to hometradesonline.com. This site is an informational brochure: it does not offer transactions, require registration, or collect personal information through forms. Data collection at launch is limited to standard server logs and essential cookies.

Home Trades Online LLC ("HTO," "we," "our") is a California limited liability company building a SaaS platform for home services professionals. hometradesonline.com is our corporate information site; it presents our company and links to our first product, DeckCountry (deckcountry.com).

2. Information We Collect
At the time of publication, hometradesonline.com does not include contact forms, sign-up flows, or any mechanism that asks visitors to provide personal information directly. The information we collect is limited to what is generated automatically when you visit any website.

2.2 Data not collected at launch
The following are not active on hometradesonline.com at the time of publication: analytics tracking (Google Analytics 4), advertising pixels (Meta Pixel), third-party tag managers, session recording tools, or chat capture tools. This policy will be updated before any of these are introduced.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described in Section 2 for the following purposes:
- Site operation and security: to serve pages correctly, detect and prevent malicious traffic, and maintain server stability. This is the lawful basis for processing server log data.
- Cookie preference management: to remember your banner choice so we do not ask again on every visit.
- Diagnosing issues: if a page fails to load, server logs help us identify and fix the problem.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any automated decision-making. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Third Parties and Data Processors
At the time of publication, hometradesonline.com shares visitor data with one infrastructure provider only:

Web fonts are served from our own servers. No font request is sent to Google Fonts CDN or any other external font provider at page load.
When analytics or advertising tools are activated in the future, this section will be updated to list each new provider, the data shared, and the contractual basis before those tools are deployed.
5. Cross-Border Processing — Argentina-based Team
Home Trades Online LLC's development and operations team is based in Argentina. Team members may access server infrastructure and logs in the course of building and maintaining the site. This constitutes cross-border processing of personal data for the purposes of our compliance documentation.
Safeguards in place:
- All team members with access to company systems are bound by signed Confidential Information and Invention Assignment Agreements (CIIAAs) that include explicit data-handling restrictions and a professional secrecy duty.
- These obligations are consistent with Argentina's Personal Data Protection Act (Ley 25.326), which imposes a confidentiality duty on all persons involved in any stage of personal data processing.
- Access is role-based and limited to what is necessary for each team member's function (least privilege).

7. Your Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) gives you the following rights with respect to your personal information:

Residents of other US states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Texas, Florida, Virginia, Colorado, Arizona, North Carolina, and South Carolina) may have equivalent or similar rights under their respective state laws. We honor those rights using the same process described in Section 8 below.
8. How to Exercise Your Rights

hometradesonline.com operates exclusively online. Consistent with California regulations (11 CCR §7011), we provide email as our designated contact channel for privacy rights requests.
How we verify your identity
To protect your privacy, we will ask you to confirm the email address or other identifier associated with your previous contact with us before fulfilling a request. If we cannot verify your identity, we may decline to process the request and will explain why.
Response timeline
We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and provide a substantive response within 45 calendar days. If we need an extension, we will notify you within the initial 45-day period and explain the reason. Extensions may not exceed an additional 45 days. Responses are free of charge for up to two requests per 12-month period.
Authorized agents
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require written proof of authorization and may still verify your identity directly.
9. Global Privacy Control (GPC)
Some browsers and browser extensions send a GPC signal to indicate a user's preference not to be tracked or have their data sold or shared. GPC signal detection and automatic opt-out handling will be implemented when analytics tracking is activated on this site, consistent with the requirements of the CCPA/CPRA. This policy will be updated at that time.
10. Children
hometradesonline.com is directed at home services professionals and is intended for use by individuals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at compliance@hometradesonline.com and we will delete it promptly.
11. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information described in this policy. The site is served exclusively over HTTPS/TLS. Server infrastructure is hosted on Google Cloud Platform with role-based access controls. In the event of a data breach affecting California residents, we will notify affected individuals and the California Attorney General in accordance with the timelines required by California SB 446 (30 days for individuals; 15 days for the AG if 500 or more California residents are affected).
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we work to protect your information using commercially reasonable means, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Updates to This Policy
We will update this Privacy Policy when there is a material change in how we collect or use personal information — including when analytics or advertising tools are introduced. The version date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
Consistent with the requirements of California law (§1798.130), this Privacy Policy is reviewed and updated at least once every 12 months. A review cycle is scheduled annually from the date of first publication.
